Align to the Nutrients of Beauty ❤ Self — Love Note

When I binge on Netflix, my mom calls it “boiling the TV” (in Chinese).

I have been “boiling nature.”

I guess It doesn’t have the same effect as the TV, but I am definitely binging.

With three nights camping in Ohio, I have been so nourished and fed.

The land has been really speaking to me. Really. Like really speaking. With all of the devastations going on in the world especially to the land, I’ve found a deep connection which has also lead me to more knowing about a past life where I was living on the land indigenously. Parts of my recently discovered past life story are here and a little here, and I’ll share more on the podcast this coming Monday about what the land has revealed to me in regards to this.

All this has given me even more trust in myself and in life, and a magical feeling of dots connecting, energies that I can resource and bring into my life, and connections with two particular friends (one human and one horse) that I have known since at least 200 years ago.

But aside from all of the downloads of information I’ve been receiving, to just treasure the green and trees of nature, to breathe in and sleep in the fresh air under stars, and to hear the crickets and small wild animals scurrying at night… We take in food through all of our senses and the nutrients of Beauty are so yummy.

Are you receiving all the nutrients you can from nature and Beauty around you? While Beauty can be found in nature, it can in music or the eyes of a loved one. It can be in the candle that you love the smell of or the salts you lavash your body with. It can be a photograph or painting you savor.

I used to see beautiful places, the prettiest mountain-scape or forest, and not be able to take it in. It was almost like this wasn’t enough and something out of this world would need to present itself to wake me up. I was quite numb and didn’t realize that I had the aftereffects of a “frozen” nervous system due to trauma. Fortunately, years of embodiment work and healing trauma give me the presence now to enjoy so much in its simplicity.

Receiving Beauty requires present awareness and the openness to receive. And while healing trauma can help open you up to receive, it can also help to simply practice soaking in Beauty and opening up your cells to take in the energy and vibrance.

Inquiry and Practice Aligning to the Nutrients of Beauty:

❤ What do you find full of Beauty?

❤ What catches your eyes as beautiful around you?

❤ When you look at or imagine what is beautiful to you, what do you feel inside? Soften into the receiving of this experience and open up your pores and cells as well as your heart to receiving.

❤ Imagine you could see and feel the nutrients of Beauty coming into your body as you take Beauty. On the energetic and subtle level, this is very real. What does it feel like in your body? If your logic argues about reality, imagine would it feel like if this were possible. Notice the emotions and sensations, movement, or impulse in your body.

❤ Take this one step farther and search for something in yourself that you find beautiful — a quality, attribute, or part of your personality. If that is challenging, notice one gesture or thing that you did or noticed that you can appreciate. Notice what it is like to receive your own compassion and appreciation.

Imagine if you could see all of life this way, every minute. With this practice of attunement, your nervous system can begin to feel nourished and safe, supported and fed, bringing more playfulness and lightness into your life as well as bringing a larger perspective of Beauty that includes ALL experiences, challenging and difficult as well.
